In the fog-choked streets of Victorian Brighton, an ancient mechanism awakens beneath the city’s most iconic monument-the Brighton Victorian Clock Tower. Long thought to be just an ornate relic, the clock was in fact a containment device for a forgotten invention: a colossal automaton built by a rogue timekeeper who vanished in 1855.
When a freak lightning storm strikes the tower during a modern-day restoration, the dormant gears begin to turn. With a thunderous crack, the cobblestones erupt and time itself lumbers free-massive, brass-limbed, and ticking with vengeance.
Now, as the monstrous mech lumbers through the city, crushing history beneath its iron feet and warping time with every swing of its gear-driven arms, a ragtag group of historians, punk engineers, and a washed-up horologist must uncover the secrets of its origin before Brighton is erased from time… forever.
