From German Folklore:
Krampus is a horned anthropomorphic figure who, is said to accompany Saint Nicholas on visits to children during the night of December 5th ‘Krampus Night’, immediately before the ‘Feast of St. Nicholas on December 6th.
In this tradition, Saint Nicholas rewards well-behaved children with small gifts, while Krampus punishes badly behave ones with birch rods. In some cases, he is said to eat them or take them to hell.
Krampus has been spotted around the Upside down house on the seafront in Brighton & Hove. It seems he has his eye on a few naughty children in this City, just before Christmas too.
Have you been good this year? Lets hope so, you don’t want a visit from this guy. Only the jolly happy fellow called Father Christmas.
