On the 14th June 2026 Artist & Conclave Gallery Owner Sukey Booth visited Beav’s art studio to talk about her Brighton based gallery ‘Conclave’ & her art.
Brighton born legend Sukey Booth use to run the independent, affordable art gallery, Conclave, in central Brighton, on Queens road. Her gallery was and still is one of the most talked about galleries that existed in Brighton. For her professional, unique and local artist inclusivity, regardless of their artistic background or prowess. She ran a tight ship and was one of the best Curators at herding all us artists together. she created a collective and we’re still going strong today.
Sadly Conclave closed its doors for the last time on 16th September 2023. But Sukey’s back to talk about her time in the gallery, in an exclusive interview with me.
